NRL in the Desert

The NRL's month long visit to remote communities in Western Australia comes to an end tomorrow with the final event in Marble Bar with David Peachey.

The NRL’s month long journey across Western Australia’s Pilbara remote desert region has almost come to a close with all communities visited gathering on Saturday, 7 September, for a day of Rugby League in Marble Bar with NRL Ambassador David Peachey.

More than 5000 km have been travelled to deliver ‘Eat well Play Well Stay Well’ and ‘Coles Backyard League’ programs, to more than 400 Indigenous Children in some of the most remote communities in Australia including Strelley, Warralong, Nullagine, Parnngurr and Jigalong and Marble Bar.

NRL Game Development Officer Chris Newman and David Peachey will be available for interview at the event with images to be made available also.
